The Meyer Children Hospital is a university hospital providing expertise devoted to the management and the production of health services for newborns, children, adolescents and their families as well as to study and to treat neonatal and child diseases. Highly specialized doctors and specially trained nurses take care of children throughout the various phases of their health assistance within the hospital, linking up with the family pediatricians and the community and scholastic services. The hospital is an official member of European Network of Health Promoting Hospitals of WHO and its professionals are involved in prevention and health promotion programmes for the Regional and National Health Departments.
Università del Terzo Settore was founded in 1996 in Italy as a not-for-profit organisation to promote research, training courses and pilot projects for the not-for-profit and public sector staff and the disadvantaged, such as immigrants, abused children and women, unemployed, NEET, etc.
